Get to Know Your Reiki Master
Hello, my name is Cristina Starke from Ray of Light. I am a fifth-generation Usui Reiki Master residing in Upstate New York. I am happy that you are considering receiving Reiki for yourself, animal companion or barnyard friend. I know that there are a lot of great healing modalities however the one I hold scared and feel fortunate to be able to practice is Reiki.
My Reiki journey started in 2014 when I took my first Reiki class. I don't think I really grasped the power of Reiki until I started using it and when my "hands turned on". The more I used Reiki the more I could feel the energy. I felt great when I used Reiki on myself. I also started using Reiki on my family and friends. Their feed back was amazing. I know I wanted to help more people be in a better place physically and emotionally. This is why I established Ray of Light in 2015.
As a young child I knew I shared a special connection with animals and was inspired to become a veterinarian however at the time life's journey took me down a different path. Today, I have been provided with the opportunity to serve my purpose again of helping animals but now through my work with Reiki. Reiki can help animals with physical and emotional issues.
Reiki has changed my life in so many ways. I love starting my day off with Reiki for myself, my family and my pets. I use Reiki to create sacred space in my home and office. I love that Reiki has provided me with the opportunity and pleasure of seeing dramatic changes in my client's lives. I am grateful to be able to practice Reiki. Start your healing journey with me and be in a better place physically and emotionally.
What Is Reiki?
I find that many people often ask me, What is Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key)? Reiki is a form of energy that originated in Japan and it is based on the belief that the practioner can channel the energy, "life force energy" that is in and around our body by hovering their hands (or with light touch) over the recipient's body. This energy promotes stress reduction, relaxation, and our body's natural process to heal. Reiki restores the body's physical and emotional well-being. So, this is where I come in as the practioner. I will guide this energy to the area of your body where it is needed. Reiki is safe and effective for everyone, children, adults and animals and is effective for all forms of illness.
